To Love I dedicated prayers and holy things
From early day before the morn had climbed
And dazzling Dawn still held her russet sway
To my gentle heart of innocence
That no guile had I innocence
But later times unmasked the villiany
Of the vile guile that had stained
My heart from gentle heart to guile.
