To Love You Poem by Arunesh Goswami

To Love You

I held pride as the eagle
Who never does mercy on its prey,
I trusted on the vanishing angel
And dreamt my time away.
Strong as the mountain I feel of myself
Swift as the wind I flow
Brimming with courage I roar
Like thunder pillaging below.
Desperate like a bubble deep inside the pacific
Slain the strength of tons of water
Effulges from the ocean with its old wild spirit
And bursts out into the air.
Thou was I a wild petal drenched in the rain
Of love, mad I became
And fought, conquered thy shadowy pain
I scripted in my heart your name.
The years rolled on O love! and I was apart
From you my faery beloved
Thy effulging emotions slept in my heart
Like the setting sun in the sea-bed!
O today though I dwell thy wild demon
Deep within this heart of mine
I m weary of waiting, my life and fortune
No more I trust on this vanishing time.
And this even I wish I were another name
In another time, with another face, with you;
I wish to steal thy love of you being a sane
Soul whom you’ll love and would love you.
