To My Dad (For Carmel Azzopardi) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

To My Dad (For Carmel Azzopardi)

Rating: 5.0

This sadness is so much
A burden that's heavy on my heart
This year it would have been yr ninetieth birthday
Would you want a Cadilliac?
I will get you one
You drove me anywhere I needed or want
Cranked up the radio everytime Sting's voice appeared
Those memories swim in my head
Yr overbite I envision on the Simpsons
I cannot watch that show ever
Now, Homer keeps reminding me of you
