To My Grands Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

To My Grands

To My Grands

Both parents went; "Goodbye! "
-siblings also, (the older ones)
-have left me, so, bye-bye…

Now, I am oldest one
-want to write and I must.

Right seems to belong to ones with guts
-even if are cheaters, full of lies!

It is shame to divert, hide or cut to censor
-but I see when reading every page; encounter
-in the book I received (writer signed)
- (Each word is sword, fire in eye, palm!)

Find it too "Strange! " when flip page by page.
-Doubtlessly great is the pen in sugar-coating the lies!

Book's start; prologue:
- "The book is told by Charles, "
- "The writer is just pen; organised! "

Charles visits Mombasa
-studies slaves' lives
- (The devils were Arabs!)

Funny part is repeating phrase
-for the "Moors", "Jamaica's":
- "Slavers were Arabs, " (old style…)

I am not prosecutor, nor am judge or jury
-yet do not accept to be called: "Stupid! "
-So, question: "What about Britain? "

Is it so because of the writer?
Is Charles shy? Or liar?
Has the pen deleted some pages?

I must write to pay dues to Grands
- (parents and children…)
-and ones tied to the chairs, inside caves!
