To My Unknown Readers Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

To My Unknown Readers

Rating: 5.0

I haven't written a thing for days
or so it does feel
I write from the heart
and try to keep in real
I linger sometimes in the doldrums
fight longing and depression
and things that take a man long to heal
sometimes when I have nothing to say
That's the deal
But I noticed today that some care to stop by anyway
to read what I write or wrote
and it fascinates me somehow, someway
I wonder...why?
anyway, thank you for your time...
for stopping by to read, these poems of mine
I have no goal in what I write
I try to capture a feeling, to bring it to light
Trust in the end it will all do some good for someone
or lead me to a destined path more bright
but I thought of you, my invisible reader
and wanted to bid you 'thanks! '
and try to treat you cordially and right
Sometimes you have to read between the lines
Everything isn't always so black and white
Now then, Have a good day...or have a good night
Trust in your hearts
Trust in God above
Trust, if you're hurting, that things will turn out right
Life is sometimes a struggle and a fight
But there is always a chance things will come around
One day dreams may yet see the light
As today is leaving
Tomorrow is only a moment away
Enjoy each one as best you can
May love guide you, every day
Thanks spending some of yours here today.
