To Say Goodbye. Poem by Roy Storey

To Say Goodbye.

Rating: 5.0

Harks and eagles wheel and fly
lovers kiss and say goodbye
the old man turns away.
Thanks the lord for another day.
What of you
and what of me.
So much to do
so much to see.
Our lives slipping by
so soon,
so soon,
to say goodbye.

A very lyrical write. A rather sad song, but sad songs have a way of lingering in the mind. Kind regards, Sandra
