it has been an easy
task to sing alone, or dance
alone
or write a poem alone,
in fact, it is more
enjoyable that way,
no one is watching me,
and i am more at ease with
myself,
more real and original.

this i find difficult,
and too hurting, and too heavy
to carry for quite a time,

to love someone who does not
even notice you,
to be with someone and yet
so far from love,
to smile and wait for
nothing at all.
