To The Wave Poem by Sangeeta Chakraborty

To The Wave

To the wave,

All my peace and solace begin with you,
All my questions find their answers in you,
All my fears start and end with you,
All my mornings long for you.

My soul is scared, trembling,
Dizziness comes in your presence,
Yet it still longs for you again and again.

Fear rises,
heart beats fast,
I hold my breath,
pausing everything,
To make every moment mine,
The fearful, the peaceful,
the lovely, and the bitter! All of it!
I want to make all of it mine.

There was a spark all over me,
The first time I faced you,
Like sparkling light,
white rays shining all around,
You paused everything within me,
Made me hold my breath,
Time slipped, I slipped,
The world noticed,
I went speechless.
