To Walk Into The Wind And Cold In Jerusalem Poem by Shalom Freedman

To Walk Into The Wind And Cold In Jerusalem

TO WALK INTO THE WIND AND THE COLD IN JERUSALEM

To walk into the wind and the cold in Jerusalem
And to feel suddenly
So much more alive and happy-
And to walk and to walk
Against that wind
Against that cold
And feel with each stretch of a leg
A power and a joy and a happiness
One felt so many many years ago
And still feel now.
