To Wander Free Poem by Roger Snow

To Wander Free

Absolutely aimlessly, , wandering
no destination known, ,
no one here, and there's no one
back at home, ,

outlived my game, overdone, ,
nothing remains the same, ,
as a last survivor, , left as the only one

so watch this Wild Muse
Carry me
Perhaps into another
Fantasy, ,
or if I'm really blessed, ,
another obscure
Mystery, , ,

No one's Home
Once again I'm Free, , ,

The Waves, ,
Crashing Hard
against this shore, ,

as I stand blown by wind
my heart begins again
to love once more

and, , , No one's Home

Sailing now, ,
stained by City blight
getting free somehow
under these Stars this night
shining down
upon this old scowl, ,
I do believe now
I'm finally, , ,
doing it right

and, , No one's Home, ,
I'm all alone, ,
to Sail with all my Might, ,

Looking up now
to Heaven lit by tiny holes
in the Sky, ,
Each to me, , is another sign
that I've Truly broken free, ,

and no one's here, , ,
to stop my escape
nor interrupt this Fantasy, , ,

Waves Roll by
like liquid flame

and this course I'm on, ,
Screams out my Name, ,

Come with me, , whispers this wind
Come Child, , , you're free again

Sun is setting low
Clouds in Rainbow streams

Heaven begins to glow
in the colors of my Dreams

and, , , No one's Home, ,

to stop this Fantasy, , ,

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Lifestyle of perpetual motion, to travel for the rest of my life, was a Fantasy I managed to make a Fact.
