To You Poem by Anon Name Anon Name

To You

Old man with the tattered shoes
I know these coins may kill you

But I want you to know I acknowledge your existence,
your pain and your anguish

And the walkers will walk, with their heads down
Ashamed for you and ashamed at their own uselessness

And for every breath, word, thought and emotion that cannot be heard or felt
I am deeply sorry
