To You Honourable Poet Poem by Mishack Mchunu

To You Honourable Poet

Let the rhymes flow like the river streams,
Let the rhymes blow you to your dreams,
Would you give those rhymes unconfined wings?
And meet the Eagle in the sky to hear it when it sings.

Let the rhymes define the way you look,
Let the rhymes come to play in your book,
Would you give those rhymes some inspiration?
And let the ones out of insight fill their penetration.

Oh! Dear poet, please release the rhyme
Let it knock me down; it is never a crime
To find joy, peace, hope, love and pleasure
In words that are hovering in talent so huge with no measure.

The reason why poetry in others remain static like statues;
We lack understanding of how it dwells with great virtues!
