To You Who Is Reading This Poem by Dan Brown

To You Who Is Reading This

To you who is reading this,
I want to apologise.
To say that I regret my actions
more than you’ll ever realise.

To you who is reading this,
I will forever be in debt.
I don’t deserve forgiveness,
or expect you to forget.

To you who is reading this,
I know I meant so much.
You meant just as much to me, you know.
Your eyes. Your smile. Your touch.

To you who is reading this,
I must be the Devil in disguise.
But I promise you, baby, with all my heart,
that it still stands; all you saw in these eyes.

To you who is reading this,
I will give a place in my heart.
I know I’ve hurt you, and for that I’m sorry,
but you deserve happiness, baby. You deserve a fresh, new start.
