It was a day,

Like today,

They went away,

Like today,

And I saw myself flying like a bird to catch the plain,

Which went away
Not today
But the day,

Like today,

I was lonely,

Like today,

Walking through the streets trying to find pleasure where I was,

A solemn wave on the day like today,

I felt stuck,

Like today,

In a rut,

Like today,

Because I could not stop thinking about all the ones I love,

Who were gone on the day like today,

I was down,

Like today,

On the ground,

Like today,

And I couldn't see any possible way to flip my frown
Or to stop the water in my eyes from coming down
Water falls were competing with my down poor
I cried until I couldn't cry no more
That was how I washed my sorrows away
Today's storm reminds me of how I felt that day.
