Truth Poem by Imaanah Saleem

Truth

Rating: 4.0

Candles burn brighter in a midnight sky,
Like the moon that shows up for its shift during those darkened hours,
In the daytime, a candle's spark gets swallowed up,
Like the beauty of nature drowned by thunderous showers,

The glare of the moon in a body of water at night,
Reflects the truth darkness cannot hide,
Truth is light, and like the ever burning sun,
It's kept hidden in one area only whilst shining bright on another side,

Truth is ever lasting, and patient,
At moments unexpected, it comes blazing so clear,
Giving no choice other than to face it,
Making all blinded aware.
