Today It Feels Like Tomorrow Poem by Divesh Rizal

Today It Feels Like Tomorrow

Rating: 5.0

Today it feels like tomorrow,
With people to feed and food to borrow,
With home to build and kill the sorrow,
Hoping tomorrow will be better,
Today it feels like tomorrow.

It was yesterday that,
We thought of it all,
That all's well that ends well,
But wouldn't life be dull?
If it was death where our joy dwelt.

Today it feels like tomorrow,
The dreams of a better day,
Of better house and better clothes,
Where people are gay and the china's clay;
Isn't that a good day?
With less wages and more bills to pay;
Today it feels like tomorrow.

It's a truth that has been since,
A long time before - all,
Before the bridges and the roads,
Before the religions and the cults,
We were still in the same pursuit;
To make it all work out and get everything done.

Today it feels like tomorrow,
The same old feeling never dies,
The hole in my shoulder still cries,
Those bloody days and terrible nighs,
Shake my heart and bully my eyes.
Hoping it will all be over;
Today it feels like tomorrow.

War has never been my favorite,
Be it internal or a battle,
Looked into the eyes of young soul,
Begging for life - which meant nothing.
A man can't feel another man's fear.
Every day I dream of the unforgiven - o dear!

Today it feels like tomorrow,
Hope of a new life and narrow chance to start over,
Wonder if death will be the end of it all?
And will it make me sober?
Wishing there is no tomorrows to come.
Today I celebrate my tomorrow.
