Today... 'The Covenant Of The People' Poem by Roy Allen

Today... 'The Covenant Of The People'

He that was born blind is now able to see
and those once held by Satan have been set free.
For the light has dawned upon the Gentile race
as each in the kingdom of God take their place.

The Covenant of the People has now come
to release all the captives and take them home.
The lame leap with joy declaring His glory
as the Son of God enters earths history.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Isaiah 42: 6-7
I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

Isaiah 49: 8-9
This is what the LORD says: 'In the time of my favour I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances to say to the captives, 'Come out, ' and to those in darkness, 'Be free! ' 'They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren hill.

The Bible calls You by many names
each one giving a glimpse of Your glory.
Like a cut diamond radiating in the sun
with every facet depicting an aspect
of Your Divine Nature.
Today I have thought of You as
'The Carpenters Son'
