Tomorrow For You Poem by Francis Duggan

Tomorrow For You

To hope for the future one only can cling
And who is to say what tomorrow may bring
Today you feel tortured by your inner strife
But tomorrow may be the best day of your life
For life after all can seem so very strange
And tomorrow your luck for the better may change
Tonight all alone you may weep in your beer
But tomorrow you may have good reason to cheer
When you feel unhappy your friends seem so rare
And the weight of your cross on your own you must bear
Your hair prematurely from worry going gray
Though hope springs eternal the more hopeful do say
But lady luck she may be smiling your way
And tomorrow for you may be a better day.
