Too Bad Poem by Jeronica Alston

Too Bad

If you only knew how people really felt.
If you knew how many times I stuck up for you when people would spit on your name.
How the same people you hang with were the ones who were coming to me lying on you.
How they didn't want us together, but now you've shown me it was all for nothing.
All the names I was called. All the people who rejected me because I wanted to stand by your side through everything.
If I only knew it would end like this.
Me,
Sitting here with a red pen, feeling like the ground beneath me is gone.
All the love I gave, all the time I spent was of no use to you.
You had the right girl, but my mistake,
You wanted the “RIGHT NOW” girl.
Glad I finally realized it, too bad you still don't.
