Too Bad (Metaphor For Poetry Day) Poem by soren Barrett

Too Bad (Metaphor For Poetry Day)

It's a shame when no one comes to the game and the season's on the line
So much work and not a jerk shows up to see the outcome in fine
As on to the field you do run, no starting gun, the other team didn't come
No fans in the stands no playing of the bands, no foe to succumb
A shocker so back to the locker, team heads looking at their feet
With no one to blame there will be no fame, without playing another defeat
