Too Hot For Me Poem by Edwina Reizer

Too Hot For Me

I used to wait for summer
every single year.
But now summer's just too hot.
I want it to disappear.
I guess when I was younger
I didn't mind the heat.
But now that I'm more tender
I find the sun no treat.
It burns my skin.
My temples ache.
I really feel
I'm about to bake.
Now I wait for summer's end
every single year.
I pray for the days of autumn
when cooler days are here.
