Took Vow Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I gave hint
Of permanent link
And suggested some ways
She was not to go away

I gave her proposal
On arrival
She wanted some companion
Best for the union

I was in race
And told bluntly on face
It was genuine and lacked no un-trust
She was not surprised a first

She finally gave in
As it was no loss or win
It was genuine desire
Which I appreciated and admired

Today I look back and think
She had prepared a drink
We both took vow not to part anytime
We are together even at this time
