Clara Tol
Torn - Poem by Clara Tol
I sit here staring blankly at the page
Wondering how did it ever get to this stage
Trying to find words to express how I feel.
How come I wasn't aware of our deal?
Where you took all the love and care that I had
But you just made me feel lonely and sad.
What did I do so bad to deserve this?
Our fate was sealed with our very first kiss
Two lovers intertwined for three whole years
Ended when you caused me heart broken tears
I can't stop thinking of your lips on hers
Your wicked hands leading her up the stairs
I can't forget it, never mind forgive
Haunted by your indifference is how I shall live
You say you're sorry but I don't believe
That's a feeling you could possibly ever achieve
You did what you wanted, no thought for me
But I have grown wise and through you I see.
I have no interest in being your friend
It was your cruel actions that caused our end.
Accept you lost unconditional love
I lost hurt and lies, thank heavens above!
I hope for you, it was all worth the pain
All of our memories, now a worthless stain.
