Touched By An Angel Poem by Pen Anthony

Touched By An Angel

Rating: 5.0

There is this big mansion i always passed on
my way to school
At its gate i sat doing my homework
it gave me the impression of what i was
working for.
Then this morning the owner didn't drive off
the car stopped then the driver opened for
his boss
i wanted to run yet wanted to see him to
know what he looked like.
He came to me patted my shoulder
'so you want to be like me!
'yes i mumbled, i want to be rich.
He looked at me as his face frowned.
People curse me,
always praying for my death,
last night i never closed my eyes lest i never
wake,
how they would even poison the air i breath.
I never exist
my money does
nobody knows me by name
i am the rich man
am the dying rich man locked out by the
world
if i could be just like you
then people would see the hair on my hands
not the watch on my wrist
kid am not human, i am from the heavens
i watch over the owner of the house, he is a
good man
go be good.
