Tough Old Bird Poem by Dorsey Baker

Tough Old Bird

Mother Goose walks her
babies across the road
she struts
moving her big
flat feet one at a time
her procession
is a long one
and the traffic
no matter how heavy
must stand still
until her and all
her babies have
walked past
they are on their way
to swim around in the pond
when she flaps
her wings forcefully!
she is letting you know
that if
you come too close
you've got a fight on hand!
