Tower Of Babel Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Tower Of Babel

O Lord!
When Thou made communication obscure
Among the enterprising multitude
Busy building the Tower of Babel
What message did Thou signal?
Multiplicity of tongues, their variety so beautiful
O, in fact, isn't human voice set at ease
More seductive in its varied tones resourceful
Than in a single tone or strain monotonous?
Did Thou actually mean to set limits
To our soaring upto the skies awesome
Or awaken us into more worthwhile pursuits?
Yes, it dawns upon us now, in a glance:
The Kingdom of Heaven is on loftier peaks truly awesome
