Transfiguration Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Transfiguration

Warming up, I saluted the Sun glorious
Emerging from valleys utterly darksome,
Hidden, screened from my naked eyes
The insufficiency of my grasp and reach
Perhaps, is no deficiency, and no reason for grievance
That I could stand rapt in awe wholesome
Appreciating the glory, at least in glimpses
Is a miracle, part of a miraculous design marvelous
Just as the devotee kneeling at the altar grandiose
Gets transfigured himself a being adorable, real awesome
