A dead letter does not mean anything
even when they are on the finest paper.
You're writing a simple scrapbook.

You can, on a dirty napkin,
leave the most beautiful letters.
Throw them in a trash can
a trace will remain in the soul
from whom you can make
eternal verses about love.

Trag u duši


Isplati se živeti teško
ako za nama ostane trag.

Mrtvo slovo ne znači ništa
ako na najfinijem papiru
pišeš običan spomenar.

Na prljavoj salveti možeš
ostaviti najljepša slova.
baci ih u korpu za smeće
ostajeće u duši zapisan trag
od koga možeš napraviti
vječne stihove o ljubavi.
