Tragic Loss Poem by Kristen Donovan Hutt

Tragic Loss

No one wants to believe
So we just sit and grieve
This should never have happened
And the weight of pain cannot be lightened

The world becomes a dark hole
On everyone's faces, their tears roll
No one speaks, the news is too strong
He was loved by all and was so young

If he was needed, he was by your side
If you were lost, he was there to guide
He was fun and he was a friend to all
If you stumbled, he would not let you fall

Irt was tragic, and shouldn't have occurred
Now everything's become fuzzy and blurred
Without him, life will never be the same
But the least we can do is let his memory rest without shame
