Tranquility - Poem by C.Ann Penning

Wrapping around my toes
Glued like little beads
Warm yet cool
A comfort to my feet
Oh, how I enjoy it squishing between my toes
Leaving little prints where ever I go
Beautiful colors of whites, blues, grays and greens
As far as my little eyes can see
Rushing in like an old long lost friend
Covering me with wet kisses from beginning to end
Oh how I love its sweet salty smell
The tranquility it brings me I know it so well
Lost in its magnificence and all of its serenity
Yes, that’s where you’ll find me
