Translation Of Love Poem by Ranju Mozammel Haque

Translation Of Love

The boy is seen standing alone, waiting -
Waiting under the simmering summer sun!
He waits shelter-less for someone special to come by -
A coy girl he madly in love with!

The girl pays the penalty so often
For her wanton way to spoil his rendezvous!
Perhaps a coward kiss on the sly -
Or a lukewarm touch of tenderness -
A certain commotion intrigues their muted union!

The girl feels a bit puzzled sometimes -
Oblivious of the bleak future he holds.
Yet she craves for him -
An ocean of love flows towards this brawny boy!

The boy is a big letdown -
He torments the girl with needless strain!
Yet she seems intensely riveted -
In listening to his inflated stories -
She immerses deep into his reverie!

The rain clouds hover round their desolate sky -
Yet they set sail into the perilous sea -
With no compass to navigate,
Their fate hangs over their inky destiny!

The dim horizon mimics their forlorn smile -
They forbear all odds to die another day!
The gusty wind lashes thunder bolts down on their trail
Yet their eyes glisten to the evening ray!

My love, what do you name this utter madness - a love affair?
Is it a fairytale I am telling you?
Or, this is the love story of you & I.
Oh, I fail to decipher!
