Transmitable Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Transmitable

Quick and transmitable,
Can be and is...
An infectious to spread it,
Life threatening disease.
The evidence of this needed,
Is for all to witness.
And foolishly a waste of time,
To find this prioritized...
Consuming anyone,
In endless pointless debates.

However...
Seldom debatable,
Is knowledge obtained...
Transmitted from teacher,
To student.
Especially,
In a classroom full of potential...
Comedians.
And 'Reality TV' hosts.
Mocking any knowledge,
A dedicated teacher has.

Yet unfortunately...
There has never been a time,
A vaccine to create or discover...
Has been rush to cure,
Deception or incompetence...
From entering or coming out,
Anyone's door.
As a defense mechanism.
To prevent the danger,
Of unrecognizable ignorance!

With a doing to keep,
All protected from infection.
An infection that spreads,
Undetected harm.
By those moving 'to and fro'.
And going unsuspiciously,
Accepted as intelligent...
Wise and 'image' friendly.
Acquiring,
Awesome common sense.
Capable to transmit...
A knowing of a difference made,
Between delusion, truth...
Hoodwinking to dupe.
And those who try,
Deceiving with sincere eyes!

Living we are all of us,
Bombarded.
By a variety of threats.
And...
Made to seek which threat,
Best addresses...
The latest fashions to impress.
Knowing as we do...
It's all about the image!
