Trapped Poem by Christal Carpenter

Trapped

Trapped in her fish net stalkings
chains hang from her belt
confidence in her walking
pain is how she felt

Whispering sweet nothing
to the crisp ocean air
hoping for something
to fix her hearts tear

She poured out her heart
etched it into a bathroom stall
wrote out every part
these words written on the wall;

Maybe some day I'll be perfect
But 'till then I will try
To forget that it wasn't worth it
Wasn't worth every tear from my eye

And maybe some day I'll remember
Just why I wanted to die
But 'till then I'll just suffer
And not let any one know I cry
