Trapped Poem by Andrew Rose

Trapped

I’m trapped,
Somewhere between life and death,
In a world of pain and hurt,
Betrayal got me here,
Only Love can get me out,

Only your love can get me out,
But your love is tainted,
You do not believe,
I gave myself to you and you stabbed me in the back,
Neigh you ripped out my heart,
You ripped out my heart and now you clasp it close to your own,

You have me trapped,
For I cannot leave my heart belongs to you,
And only you,
You have me trapped because I cannot turn to anyone else,
You are my life,
You are me
And yet it is you,
You, who is the cause of all my problems,
You’re the thought that fills me up till I boil over,
With rage and hurt,
You’re the one that makes me shiver and shake,
Its your forbidden actions that makes me quake
And yet you are the source of my happiness,
You are my hope,

Without you I would be dead,
Hanging by a rope,
See you have me trapped,
Between Life and Death,
Love and hate,
Hope and Despair,
Rage and Sorrow,
You are the sole thing in my life,
My Saviour,
My Betrayer,

And I am trapped,
In a world of pain and hurt,
Left to bleed and then Nursed to life
Between your Love and my loss,
And only Your True Love can set me free…
