Trapped Innocence Poem by Safiyyah Manjra

Trapped Innocence

Are you insane?
I can't believe you find me so mundane.
As if you are so well you have all the fame.
I don't recall ever being interested for the name.

Now you go,
Speaking your words to and fro.
Little did you know,
How terrible I felt every time you said no.

Sometimes all a girl wants to hear is a yes.
A whisper would be the best guess.
I know sometimes I can be very reckless.

If there was an individual who had the guts to take my innocence.
Instead of being put aside and suffering the endurance.

I know I can be a bit of a chatter bug.
That's only because I am in need of a hug.
My favourite tea in a warm mug.
