Treasure Poem by Alexander Thomas

Treasure

What gems do you carry? With what destiny
will you marry?
What treasure is underneath? What gifts can
you bequeath?
What do you have to share? We all hold
beauty that is rare..
In crushing time to form, dazzling with
brightness to be reborn,
Under the grime a glimmer, exposed to
shimmer,
Sparkling in the light to the keen eye's
delight,
To gaze at in awe and to clutch and adore,
We are each a precious stone, none of us
need be alone,
Rejoice you are alive, for real love strive,
The world wants more for you,
To yourself be faithful and true!
