When Mother Tree begins to sing,
in rustling tones, hushed, low and sweet;
Each fedgling folds its trembling wing,
in thankful prayer to a heartbeat...
For cradled deep within her boughs,
nestled safe, secure, at rest;
Birds have made their final vows,
to make a loving home, their nest...
Though storm winds batter sky at night
and thunder rents the quaking earth;
their nest is warm and safe despite
the rain that pelts for all its worth...
And Mother Tree croons gently on,
her lullaby until the dawn...
