Trees Yield To Autumn Shades Poem by Deanna Samuels

Trees Yield To Autumn Shades

Rating: 5.0

Slipping into mid-October,
foliage has yielded to autumnal shades.
Gone are those fresh bright verdant greens,
replaced now by heavier dark emeralds
and tinged on many by rusty fronds
while some, almost dressed in
bright orange and deep reds.

The whole countryside is turning to
its autumnal attire,
soon, very soon
transforming into a fiery flame,
a flame of magnificent beauty.
