Tresses Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Tresses

Water,
Trees, mangroves;
Love!
Unique,
Exquisite;
But, let me lead you to my abode.

Love!
Another day in paradise;
With the investment of your sweet love,
But, let me take you to my abode.

The canal,
The water,
The trees,
The mangroves;
Like the muse of foreign workers,
But, let me take you to my abode.

Man, mangroves!
Tresses,
Triad,
Trestles,
Footprints!
Of a man, a bird and a squirrel.
