Trick Or Treat Poem by Juan Olivarez

Trick Or Treat

There's a demon on the porch,
Grinning evily at me.
Watching carefully my approach,
Flames in his eyes I seem to see.

There's a skeleton swinging high,
From the tree in the front yard.
And witches riding through the sky,
And a vampire standing guard.

Passing out some little goodies,
To the kiddies stopping by.
Baring his fangs at all the cuties,
Making little children cry.

This festive air comes once a year,
With everybody dressed to kill.
Yet there is nothing you should fear,
So sit right back enjoy the thrill.
