Troubled Night Poem by Late Sunrise

Troubled Night

Rating: 0.5

How troubled are my thoughts tonight,
Down the bright and quiet moonlight,
Thinking or dreaming, awake or asleep,
Nearby nobody sees my tears as I weep.

How far away from here are going my wishes,
The forgotten past has got its lot of sadness,
The sunny present does not bring quietness,
The future is still uncertain for lived happiness.

No more need to cry, no way to keep quiet,
As soon there will no change to be seen,
About our lives together I need to imagine,
I don’t want again for anything else to fight.

Silence is around, in loneliness of the night,
And in my heart, there is so much pain,
For so deeply I do long for you tonight,
How sad would I face another dawn again?
