True Poem by Julian Takali

True

True

The boy who never ceases to question
As he is by all things
Rendered in awe
By all of the grim folk on the bus
The songs the water sings
The white bulbs in the flats
These boys are who I respect the most

Blind to this now - but to dare as they do
To revel the wonders of commonplace
And to dream alive
In the wet lake of ecstasy
As all watch from the arid shore
To dare as they do,
To dare as they do,
Is the rawest form
Of the word true; true to them, true to you
True to themselves as they dare to do!
