True Love! - Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Everyone with a heart
Has emotional scars,
Having experienced painful dissolutions.
To say time heals all wounds,
Is much too shallow a tune,
But my advice could lead to resolution.

Hurting hearts need the truth,
Not Dr. Phil or Doc Ruth,
In order for healing to begin.
It may hurt some I know,
But here’s the path you must go,
And realize it all started with sin.

Christmas is about a baby Jesus.
Easter is about His blood that flowed.
The rest of His Book teaches forgiveness.
That's the only way true love is shown!
True love must wait, even till Heaven’s Gate,
Where it calls your sweet heart it’s new home!

The Blessed hands of our God
Who with His vision through love,
Painted the Masterpiece we call Creation.
His brush strokes still in place,
In His Wisdom through Grace,
Seeks out children for Him in every nation!

If you’re patient you will find,
A true love that’s not blind,
Finding Truth that can free every slave.
For once you’ve found Truth
You’ll eternally have youth,
Where a mansion awaits that He’s made!
