True Pleasure Poem by Namita Rani Panda

True Pleasure

Rating: 4.5

When my longing for you is shattered like pieces of glass
And each piece like a carcass
With eyes still and open as if beads of glass
Mountain of dreams lying dead behind those eyes
Legs stretched towards the moonless sky,
The soul of my longing left its body bidding good bye.

Now I am a tree in meditation
Without any anxiety or expectation
Whoever pass me by chance
I fan them with my leafy hands
Greet them with shower of flowers
Comfort them in my cool bowers
Fill the air with the gift of oxygen
Feed them fruits of love like a loving companion!

The pleasure of giving is far more pleasing than the pleasure of taking.
