Truth Poem by Vi Lanflagle

Truth

Sometimes people can’t see
Beyond their own reality.
They believe the lies
Won’t admit what’s real.

They say the lies are truth
They say the lies are comfortable.
But none of them knows
What the truth really is.

Things have been hidden for so long
They can’t tell right from wrong.
Finally someone takes a stand
And all the walls come crashing down.

Unexpectedly shattering illusions
Gasping for breath.
Faced with the truth
They run and hide.

Finally unlocked the truth
Hidden deep down inside.
