Truth - Good Or Bad Poem by Paul Warren

Truth - Good Or Bad

What is good or bad?
Or perhaps it is just a fad
What is it that we perceive?
Is it the winner that doesn’t grieve?
If we have to go in league
With the devil to succeed
Does this mean that it is right?
To beat someone evil in a fight
I find it all a bit perplexing
For history writing a truth that’s stretching.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wasn't it Churchill who said that if beating Hitler meant supporting the devil he would at least give a favourable comment in the House of Commons. This was during WW2 when speaking about the alliance with Stalin.
