Trutler Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Trutler

Trutler

With recent elections,
I watch the presidents,
One departs, one arrives,
These become the plane,
On which I fly high, travel.

The airport I land in,
Is the nineteen-thirties.

The Great Depression!
Germany, to Moscow,
World around, USA!

Hitler is elected,
We know, then,
What happened?

Right away?
Of course, Nay!

Deep in recent changes,
I picture those old days!

I foresee very same,
If not now, soon, later!

Bite your lips,
Be patient!
