Try Me Poem by Haley Brown

Try Me

Try to tell me what to do.
It won't work, I know.
I don't have to listen to you.

Go ahead, give me the beating you promised.
Maybe it will hurt, maybe it won't.
But I'm smart enough not to fall for that.

Just because you hurt me in so many ways,
Doesn't mean you still control me.

I have power. Power you can't control anymore.
So,
Go ahead, give me a push.
See what I will do.
Just try me.
