Trying To Unlove You Poem by norman hale

Trying To Unlove You

Trying To Unlove You

I've tried to unlove you
I've been trying for years
But no matter what I try
Or how much I shed tears

Your love is still with me
No matter where I may go
Everytime I turn around
Your love finds a way to show

I've been trying to forget you
Trying to get you off my mind
Ever since you decided to move on
It does me no good, is what I find

I even moved on to others
I tried theropy for crying out loud
But no matter what I try
I catch myself looking for you in the crowd

Your love has its spell on me
Though you never left back a trace
Every night when I close my eyes
The first thing I see is your face

I guess I'll never be able to unlove you
So it does me no good to even try
It looks like I'll always be loving you
Right up to the very day that I die
