Tucked Away Poem by C Richard Miles

Tucked Away

On a tucked-away morning
On a tucked-away street,
Two tucked-away lovers,
Tucked away, sit.

Out of tucked-away slumber
In my tucked-away bed
Eyes, tucked-away, opened
Raised my tucked-away head.

From that tucked-away window
Of my tucked-away flat
Viewed those tucked-away lovers:
Two tucked-away cats.

On the tucked-away corner,
With a tucked-away purr
So tucked-away tightly:
Tucked-away fur.

With a tucked-away mew
And a tucked-away hiss
This tucked-away pair
Stole a tucked-away kiss.

Such a tucked-away meeting
In that tucked-away way
Gave warm tucked-away feelings
That tucked-away day.
